Welcome to TrajiklyHip!

TrajiklyHip is the personal web site of Aaron West. Over the years this site has been the host of all sorts of information. More recently, I've taken all the various portions of this web site, which were not under any common interface, and have molded them together to form TrajiklyHip version 2.0. Some of the things previously found on this site have been removed and other things have been added. Most importantly, this site serves as a resource for ColdFusion developers. One of the things I enjoy doing is teaching and this site gives me a medium for spreading the knowledge I have in Macromedia's suite of products, especially ColdFusion.

WEBLOG
Visiting the Blog section you will find journal-like entries of mine concerning all sorts of ColdFusion related topics and community news. You'll also find links to other ColdFusion developers sites, cool Flash sites, and anything else related to Internet technology. All news related to this web site can also be found in this section.

THE TUTORIALS
The Tutorials section is chock full of informational tutorials, how-to's, best practices, and articles related to various programming topics. Most of what you will find is related to ColdFusion and Flash.

MP3 PLAYER
The TrajikPlayer was built entirely in FlashMX. When the player loads, Flash reads and parses an XML document that holds the information for each MP3 in the playlist. The MP3's are streamed from my server directly to your Flash player. Coupling XML with FlashMX allows the player to be updated without having to open FlashMX and republish the FLA. Check it out and see what I'm currently listening to.
